I have never seen a better representation of a lack of torque than this.

Is it the video recording that's playing tricks? Because I can hear the car screaming towards redline and none of that translating into any real acceleration.

It sounds great, though!

Haha, a few things about that:

1) You'd never see me driving that fast on that road- those dropoffs looked pretty scary to me.

2) I drive a civic si so I didn't even notice the torque :(. it seemed like it had all 139ish ft/lbs that mine does haha.

You seem to not understand the concepts of horsepower and torque. u90 ]cr3Horsepower is an F1 car. Torque is a dump truck.

I think you misunderstand the concepts of horsepower and torque. Horsepower is just a factor of torque and RPM. Torque is literally the amount of rotational force applied. Horsepower is turning that rotational force into speed. This is why F1 cars have little torque and lots of horsepower because they spin to 18k rpm and those aren't slow. Also why steam trains have a metric ass ton of torque (force) which can pull lots and lots of weight, just very slowly.

Also don't forget how a dirt road has a lot less friction than black top. Meaning a lot less traction.
